X-Rays
X-Ray: Detailed Information
X-ray imaging is a quick, non-invasive diagnostic tool that uses electromagnetic radiation to create images of the inside of the body. It is widely used to examine bones, organs, and soft tissues, making it one of the most common and versatile imaging techniques.
How It Works:
X-rays pass through the body and are absorbed at different rates by various tissues.
- Dense tissues: (like bones) absorb more X-rays and appear white on the image.
- Soft tissues: (like muscles and organs) absorb fewer X-rays and appear in shades of gray.
- Air-filled spaces: (like the lungs) appear dark.
